The Glendale-River Hills School District Foundation’s new website is up and running! Click around to learn about the foundation and how you can support our mission. Come back to visit our blog regularly to see what the foundation is up to and what’s happening in our community.
For nearly three decades the Foundation has supported our school district through fundraising to enable large infrastructure improvements, smaller grants, and the growth of a long-term endowment. In the fall of 2020, we kept our most recent promise to donate $50,000 to help fund a new innovative learning lab at Glen Hills Middle School, and we made a starting commitment to donate $15,000 to emergency pandemic needs of our district families. In the coming year, we will continue to focus on our community’s pandemic-related needs, as we focus on fundraising for our district’s new Family Emergency Fund. Many thanks to Matt Friedel, Foundation trustee, for donating his expertise to build and manage this website. Matt is a Senior Lecturer at UWM’s School of Information Studies, dad of two kids who attend Parkway Elementary and Glen Hills Middle Schools, and an avid traveler.
